1. Stellar Therapies

Website: stellartherapies.org
Address: 38 Bernard St, Leith
Contact: +44 7716 757811 | [email protected]
Schedule: Monday to Friday 9:00AM–9:00PM | Saturday to Sunday 9:00AM–8:00PM
Stellar Therapies brings a global, multi-location approach to personalised wellness sessions across Scotland and southern Albania.
We love that they build every program around detailed practitioner consultation. They focus on movement patterns, injury history, and daily stress loads to create highly individualised therapy plans.
When I attended a targeted relaxation class, the structured pacing and guided adjustments released tension in my shoulders and improved overall mobility compared to standard gym recovery sessions.
The team also extends services into corporate wellness. They deliver structured stress-management sessions designed for office environments and workplace fatigue reduction.
That said, the program focuses exclusively on restorative and low-intensity modalities. This may not suit athletes seeking high-intensity training or heat-based recovery methods.

Hidden Gem with Best Massage and Yoga
Stellar Therapies is a hidden gem in the heart of Leith 🤍 I received the best massage from Ari and also attended the most relaxing yoga nidra session. The studio caught my eye from the street and I walked into a beautifully warm and welcoming atmosphere, particularly cosy at this time of year (winter!) and it smells amazing!

Outstanding Acupressure Massage in Serene Space
I had an acupressure head and neck massage at Stellar Therapies, and it was absolutely wonderful. The space is serene and beautifully designed, and the massage itself was outstanding –easily one of the best I’ve ever had. I left feeling deeply relaxed, grounded, and restored. I’m already looking forward to booking again and trying one of their yoga classes.

Address: 19 Craigsbank Edinburgh EH12 8HD, Church Hall
Contact: +44 7918 477916 | [email protected]
Schedule: Available 24/7
Humming Tree Yoga offers some of the best yoga classes in Edinburgh for pregnant women. They focus specifically on guiding women through pregnancy-related physical changes and recovery.
Louisa, the lead teacher and certified Pre and Post-natal Corrective Exercise Specialist, provides structured movement modifications that prioritise safety while still encouraging gentle strength and mobility.
Plus, the space offers a calming, spa-inspired environment. They use sensory elements like custom aromatherapy to help create a more grounding and supportive class experience.
Members can also access a digital library of pre-recorded routines. This is useful for maintaining consistency on days when attending in-person classes is not possible.
However, the live group sessions are limited to only two days per week, which can be restrictive for unpredictable schedules.
Plus, the business requires mandatory upfront payments for multi-week blocks rather than offering casual drop-in rates.

Enjoyable Weekly Pregnancy Yoga Classes
I did weekly yoga classes with Louisa at Humming tree Yoga from my 23rd week of pregnancy through to week 36 before giving birth to my twins at 37+2 weeks.
I really enjoyed the classes and the community Louisa has created. The atmosphere is welcoming and relaxing.

3. Tidal Yoga Ltd

Website: tidal.yoga
Address: 115 Leith Walk
Contact: 07989977184 | [email protected]
Schedule: Monday to Thursday 7:00AM–8:30PM | Friday 7:00AM–7:30PM | Saturday 8:30AM–2:00PM | Sunday 9:00AM–8:00PM
Tidal Yoga Ltd takes a universal accessibility approach to yoga. They offer tiered membership packages designed to accommodate students with different budgets and changing schedules.
We really like that new students can start with a discounted introductory pack. It makes it easier to explore different classes without committing to a high upfront cost.
The Leith studio also stood out to us during a visit. The instructors naturally provide adaptive adjustments for practitioners with limited mobility, making classes feel inclusive and supportive.
They also offer private coaching sessions that can take place either in-studio or at a workplace, which adds flexibility for people with busy routines.
One downside, though, is that the introductory package has a strict one-month expiry, which limits how slowly you can explore classes.
Private one-to-one instruction is also priced at a premium, which may not suit tighter budgets looking for ongoing personalised support.

Warm and Friendly Studio with Supportive Teachers
A warm and friendly studio. I came once with a friend – a near total stranger to yoga – but have been a regular for 7 months now. Shout outs to teachers Alex, Annabel, Charles, Ellen, Noelle and Ruth who all have such gentle and supportive energy- every single class.

4. The Edinburgh Yoga Room

Website: edinburghyogaroom.com
Address: 5 Forth St
Contact: +44 (0)7913 510911 | [email protected]
Schedule: Monday to Friday, Sunday 9:00AM–8:00PM | Saturday 9:00AM–6:00PM
Edinburgh Yoga Room focuses on small-group yoga instruction designed to support alignment, injury prevention, and long-term sustainable practice.
We really like that attendance is intentionally kept low. We believe this allows instructors to give closer supervision and offer more precise adjustments based on each student’s physical capacity.
The studio is also flexible with the classes. They offer a hybrid attendance model, allowing students to switch between in-person classes and live digital streaming.
The founder’s background in the Ashtanga lineage, along with their certification as a yoga therapist, brings a more clinical, structured approach to the teaching style. This is especially clear in how the classes focus on nervous system regulation and recovery-focused movement.
They do, however, actively discourage single-session drop-ins. This reduces spontaneity for new students.
Evening introductory classes also tend to fill up quickly, making it harder to secure spots during peak hours without planning ahead.

Beginners Class Built Confidence for Novice
Stacey is such a great teacher. The beginners class was so helpful as a complete novice to yoga and built my confidence. I’ve now been going to the Edinburgh Yoga rooms for over 18months as a result!

Friendly and Welcoming Ashtanga Yoga Introduction
Stacey’s ashtanga yoga classes have been an amazing introduction to yoga for me, that has turned into a weekly practice. Stacey and the class are friendly and welcoming. The class is inclusive for everyone, including very un-bendy people like myself. The class provides an hour of calm and a much needed weekly reset to life. If you are unable to attend the weekly class in person, there is the option to join via zoom, which is very handy. Highly recommend for anyone considering starting yoga in Edinburgh.

5. Tribe New Town

Website: tribe.yoga
Address: 71-75 Northumberland St
Contact: +44 131 202 6022 | [email protected]
Schedule: Monday to Thursday 6:30AM–10:00PM | Friday 6:30AM–8:00PM | Saturday 8:30AM–1:30PM | Sunday 8:30AM–9:00PM
Tribe New Town is a full-facility fitness studio designed to support busy professionals who need efficient access to structured training.
This is one of the first local studios to integrate a complete amenity set, including on-site showers and changing rooms. This makes it easier to fit classes into a tight corporate schedule without rushing back to the office.
We also love the dual-studio layout. It separates mat-based disciplines from Reformer Pilates sessions.
Their hybrid approach combines functional training with traditional movement flows on modern equipment.
Plus, the employed-teacher model suggests instructors are consistently supported rather than working independently, which can improve class quality.
It’s just sad that payments are strictly non-refundable, which reduces flexibility if plans change. They also enforce a strict late-arrival policy, meaning you can be locked out of class if you miss the start time.

Warm, Welcoming Instructors and Great Value
I love the New Town studio. The instructors are always warm and welcoming, offering as much or little adjustment as suits your preference. No matter which class, yoga, barre, Pilates, the people make the studio. The memberships are great value for money if you do a few classes a week and you get great variety too.
