The 5 Best Medical Spas in Edinburgh for Safe, Subtle Results

Medical Regulation and Prescribing: We checked that each clinic operates under Healthcare Improvement Scotland (HIS) standards or uses registered doctors and prescribing nurses.

Treatment Variety for Specific Conditions: Our team looked for menus that pair wrinkle consultations and fillers with targeted options like radiofrequency microneedling and medical-grade peels.

Diagnostic and Consultation Approach: We favoured practices that assess your skin structure properly before recommending a treatment plan.

Scheduling and Practical Policies: We looked at early morning, late evening, and weekend slots, along with booking rules, to see how easy each place is to visit.

Product and Device Standards: Checking for approved brands like Allergan and recognised clinical devices such as Observe 520x scanners and Endymed systems kept the focus on reliable gear.

Finding the right clinic to refresh your skin can feel overwhelming. You might want to soften fine lines, clear up stubborn acne scars, or just maintain a healthy glow.

Whatever you need, a clinic visit should feel comfortable, supportive, and completely personalised to you. So, we’ve spent weeks researching treatment options and clinician credentials to find the best medical spa in Edinburgh for your aesthetic goals.

Hours: Monday to Tuesday, Thursday: 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM, Wednesday: Open 24 hours, Friday to Saturday: 7:30 AM to 3:00 PM

Surface Beauty Medical Aesthetics leans on over 16 years of experience in Edinburgh City Centre.

Run by Registered General Nurse (RGN) and Independent Nurse Prescriber (INP) Norma Conroy, the practice follows Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) and HIS rules.

She handles complex work like tear trough rejuvenation, non-surgical rhinoplasty, and lower face or neck Botox for clients wanting subtle facial contouring.

Having an independent prescriber do the work means your medical records and aftercare stay under one roof.

Plus, every treatment uses approved Allergan products prescribed on site, so you aren’t gambling on unverified filler brands.

The catch is that the Queen Street location means a longer trip if you live in South Edinburgh. To add, the clinic closes on Sundays.

Pros

  • Over 16 years of medical aesthetics experience
  • Regulated nurse-led clinic with on-site prescribing
  • Uses approved Allergan products
  • Offers tear trough and non-surgical nose treatments

I have been going to Norma for years for botox and she is always so amazing. She is so friendly and professional and my botox always lasts longer than anywhere else I have had it in the past. Would definitely recommend 🙂

Beyond happy, thanks a million Norma!  ❤️

I had a true 5 star experience at SB this week! I’m extremely grateful to Norma for her kindness and patience in first tracking my decade old migrated filler and magically repositioning it for an interim fix. Fantastic work, just amazing  I’m also appreciating my lovely botox results. Beyond happy, thanks a million Norma!  ❤️

2. Dr Victoria Skin Clinic

dr-victoria-skin-clinic

Address: 32-34 Alva St.

Contact: 0131 226 9610

Hours:

  • Monday to Tuesday: 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM
  • Wednesday to Thursday: 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM
  • Friday: 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM
  • Every other Saturday: 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Dr Victoria Skin Clinic brings regulated healthcare professionals together under one roof on Alva Street. Their team builds custom non-surgical plans that target your specific skin health goals rather than pushing a one-size-fits-all facial.

Patients looking for anti-ageing and rejuvenation can book bio-remodelling, medical-grade ultrasound, or lifting threads to tighten sagging skin and stimulate natural collagen.

When we spoke to their staff about treating visible blood vessels and pigmented spots, they explained how they use Intense Pulsed Light (IPL), Alexandrite, and Neodymium-doped Yttrium Aluminium Garnet (Nd: YAG) lasers.

These treatments target melanin or haemoglobin across all skin types without damaging the surrounding tissue.

That said, wheelchair users must call ahead so staff can set up portable ramps, and only trained assistance dogs are allowed inside.

  • Staffed by regulated healthcare professionals
  • Medical-grade Alexandrite and Nd: YAG lasers
  • Ultrasound and thread lifts for sagging skin
  • Bio-remodelling and collagen therapies available

Cons

  • Advance notice required for wheelchair ramps

The Mayfield Clinic by Dr Nestor combines aesthetic medicine with Private General Practitioners (GPs), minor surgery, and women’s health doctors.

That clinical setup suits patients who prefer having persistent skin conditions treated in a comprehensive medical environment.

For targeted concerns like acne scarring, rosacea, melasma, and sun spots, they pair ZO Skin Health systems and chemical peels with Secret Radio Frequency (RF) microneedling to tighten skin and smooth texture.

4. The Goddess Clinic

the-goddess-clinic

Website:https://www.thegoddessclinic.co.uk/

Address: 36-37 West Preston Street

Contact: 07591 891352

Hours: Monday to Wednesday: 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM, Thursday to Sunday: 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM

Regulated by HIS on West Preston Street, The Goddess Clinic’s team focuses on educating patients before starting any procedure.

Every session here starts with a proper clinical look beneath the surface. Then they use an Observe 520x high-definition digital scanner to check the structural integrity and damage across each layer of your skin.

A friend of mine went in for stubborn acne scarring, and seeing the scan helped her understand why they recommended combining BroadBand Light (BBL) and Halo hybrid fractional laser sessions instead of a basic peel.

They also run Endymed radiofrequency microneedling, SkinPen, and HydraFacials.

However, you must give at least 24 hours’ notice to reschedule, or you’ll pay a new deposit.

Pros

  • HIS-regulated medical aesthetic clinic
  • Observe 520x digital skin scan during consultations
  • Combined BBL and Halo fractional laser treatments
  • Open seven days a week

Cons

  • 24-hour rescheduling notice required

My skin and confidence is a million times better

Love this place! I have difficult skin, super sensitive, acne prone and all staff members have been super lovely and helpful. I trust Dawn with my face completely and she makes sure you’re fully aware of everything in consultation. Emma is a wonderful facialist and always goes the extra mile. My skin and confidence is a million times better after regular Botox and hydrafacials at the clinic!

The clinic is spotless and comfortable

This was my first time getting Botox and Dawn was absolutely fantastic. Not only does she acquire the in-depth knowledge and understanding of patient needs, she also gives great advice and wouldn’t proceed with aesthetic treatments if she thought otherwise. The clinic is spotless and comfortable and I look forward to seeing Dawn in the next few months for a top-up.

5. Dermal Clinic Edinburgh

dermal-clinic-edinburgh

Website:https://www.dermalclinic.co.uk/

Address: 21-23 Church Hill Place, Morningside

Contact: 0131 447 2642

Hours: Monday to Wednesday: 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM, Thursday: 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM

Most skin clinics stop at the jawline, but Dermal Clinic Edinburgh handles both facial rejuvenation and body contouring from its Morningside base.

Each specialist focuses on their own treatment area, keeping expectations realistic while delivering thorough care.

Clients wanting non-invasive anti-ageing can book Profhilo bio-remodelling, HydraFacials, or genuine Dermaroller sessions alongside Exilis radiofrequency treatments that tighten loose skin on both the face and body.

And because they also offer hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating) treatments, laser tattoo removal, and weight loss injections, you can sort out several aesthetic goals in one place.

The downside is that the clinic closes from Friday through Sunday, which makes weekend appointments impossible. To add, product refunds or exchanges take up to 5 working days to process after returns arrive.

Pros

  • Facial rejuvenation and body contouring
  • Specialists focus on specific treatment areas
  • Wide range of aesthetic treatments
  • Multiple concerns treated in one place

Cons

  • Closed Friday through Sunday
  • Product refunds take up to five days

I’ll be sticking to this for good

Fab experience with hydrafacials at the dermal clinic. Always great chat from the lovely, Michelle and she’s really improved my skin significantly with her expert advice and treatment. I had severe sensitivity and reactivity to products to the point I was scared to use anything before I came to DC. I am now using a complete treatment protocol without any reactions. I’ll be sticking to this for good. So pleased ! Thanks xxx

I’m never going anywhere else ever again

I’m never going anywhere else ever again! Jackie was fantastic. I was in and out within 15 minutes for masseter Botox. So quick and painless and she was really lovely, making me feel at ease instantly. Thanks so much!
