Honestly can’t recommend them enough
We started off testing Gecko panes in our living room, and within an hour of installing them, the room was so much quieter and about 2 or 3 degrees warmer! Clyde Windows got my attention when my favourite brunch place’s conservatory went from “sauna with scones” to comfortably bright within a day. They replaced the old panels with custom UV-filtering safety glass so clean and crisp, we regulars thought the place was extended!
They can handle both small residential fixes and big commercial projects like this cafe, and I can tell they’re used to working in busy spaces without disrupting customers. The owners told me that turnaround was quick, and the final fit kept the heat out without dimming the sunshine we so love in Edinburgh.
They also have a good range of custom glass options, including privacy panels and heat-control glazing, which made the cafe owner feel like he’d upgraded to a boutique extension instead of just fixing an overheated problem.

We have noticed a big difference in the hot weather
Great customer service and highly recommend the company and product. After a difficult experience with a different company, we had a great experience with Clyde Windows and Construction for our Thermotec conservatory roof. Michael’s communication was excellent from the start and made us feel comfortable moving forward. Time scales were accurate, and we were kept updated regularly. The fitters were friendly and efficient. We have noticed a big difference in the hot weather, with us being able to use the conservatory comfortably, and we are hopeful that it will be warmer in the winter too, allowing all-year-round usage.
